“When I found out one in three women are in an abusive relationship, and I’m raising two young girls at home, my thought was I need to find an impactful way to teach them, and [One Love] just hit home for me,” says Core Cycle owner Heather Chilcot.Through events like this, fundraisers, and workshops on college campuses across the country, One Love hopes to build awareness about relationship violence and stop dating abuse before it starts.Each event combines the passion for exercise and involvement that Yeardley exhibited as an active community member and a lacrosse player at the University of Virginia.This Monday, more than 100 cycle junkies, wellness-enthusiasts, and community members gathered for the grand opening of Core Cycle Studios, a new cycle, barre, and yoga studio at Timonium Crossing Shopping Center on York Road, but not just for your average workout.At Core Cycle’s 2,250 square-foot studio, energetic and passionate instructors lead a mixture of cycle, barre, and yoga classes throughout the day, with all proceeds donated to the One Love Foundation, a community created in 2010 in honor of Yeardley Love, a Baltimorean victim of dating violence.
